关于本章
Classed as a Meccan sura, it opens by blessing the One who sent down the Criterion to His servant so that he might be a warner to all the worlds. It then takes up the objections of the disbelievers one by one: that the Quran is copied from old legends, that the Messenger eats food and walks in the markets, that no angel or treasure has come down with him, and that the Quran was not revealed all at once. A scene from the Day of Judgement shows a wrongdoer biting his hands in regret over a friend who led him astray, and the Messenger complains that his people have abandoned the Quran. Moses and Aaron, Noah's people, 'Ad, Thamud and the people of the Well are briefly recalled. Signs follow: the spreading shadow, night and day, winds and rain, and two seas that do not mix. The last part portrays 'the servants of the Most Gracious', who walk humbly, spend moderately and do not bear false witness.

章名由来 The name comes from verse 1, which speaks of God sending down the Criterion, that which distinguishes right from wrong, to His servant.
(简介为英文)
-
1
Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His servant, so that he may be a warner to all the worlds;
-
2
the One to whom the kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs, who has taken no son, who has no partner in sovereignty, and who created all things and gave each its exact measure.
-
3
Yet they have taken besides Him gods who create nothing and are themselves created, who have no power to harm or benefit themselves, and who have no power over death, life, or resurrection.
-
4
Those who disbelieve say, “This is nothing but a lie he has invented, and other people have helped him with it.” They have come up with wrongdoing and falsehood.
-
5
And they say, “Legends of the ancients which he has had written down, and they are dictated to him morning and evening.”
-
6
Say, “It was sent down by the One who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth. He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
-
7
They say, “What kind of messenger is this who eats food and walks in the markets? Why has an angel not been sent down to him to be a warner with him?
-
8
Or [why is] a treasure not cast down to him, or [why does] he [not] have a garden from which he may eat?” And the wrongdoers say, “You are following only a man bewitched.”
-
9
See how they make comparisons for you! So they have gone astray and cannot find a way.
-
10
Blessed is He who, if He wills, will make for you better than that: Gardens beneath which rivers flow, and He will make for you palaces.
-
11
Rather, they deny the Hour, and We have prepared for whoever denies the Hour a Blaze.
-
12
When it sees them from a far-off place, they will hear its raging and roaring.
-
13
And when they are thrown into a narrow place in it, bound together in chains, they will cry out there for destruction.
-
14
“Do not cry out today for one destruction, but cry out for many destructions!”
-
15
Say, “Is that better, or the Garden of Eternity which the God-fearing have been promised? It will be for them a reward and a destination.
-
16
They will have in it whatever they wish, abiding forever. It is a promise binding on your Lord, [rightly] requested.”
-
17
On the Day He gathers them and what they worship besides God, He will say, “Was it you who led these servants of Mine astray, or did they themselves stray from the path?”
-
18
They will say, “Glory be to You! It was not proper for us to take any protectors besides You. But You let them and their forefathers enjoy [life] until they forgot the Reminder and became a ruined people.”
-
19
“They have denied you in what you say, so you can neither avert [the punishment] nor [find] help. Whoever among you does wrong, We will make him taste a great punishment.”
-
20
We sent no messengers before you except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you a trial for others: will you be patient? Your Lord is All-Seeing.
-
21
Those who do not hope to meet Us say, “Why have the angels not been sent down to us, or [why do] we [not] see our Lord?” They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and have grown exceedingly insolent.
-
22
On the Day they see the angels, there will be no good news that Day for the guilty, and they will say, “A forbidding barrier!”
-
23
We will turn to whatever deeds they did and make them scattered dust.
-
24
The companions of the Garden on that Day will be in a better abode and a finer resting place.
-
25
On the Day the heaven will be split open with the clouds, and the angels will be sent down in great descent,
-
26
true sovereignty that Day will belong to the Most Gracious, and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers.
-
27
On the Day the wrongdoer will bite his hands, saying, “I wish I had taken a path with the Messenger!
-
28
Woe to me! I wish I had not taken so-and-so as a close friend.
-
29
He led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to me.” And Satan is ever a deserter of man.
-
30
The Messenger said, “My Lord, my people have treated this Quran as something abandoned.”
-
31
Thus We have made for every prophet an enemy from among the guilty. But sufficient is your Lord as a Guide and a Helper.
-
32
Those who disbelieve say, “Why was the Quran not sent down to him all at once?” Thus [it is], so that We may strengthen your heart with it, and We have recited it in measured stages.
-
33
They do not bring you any argument but We bring you the truth and the best explanation.
-
34
Those who will be gathered on their faces to Hell, they are worst in position and most astray from the path.
-
35
We gave Moses the Book and appointed with him his brother Aaron as a helper.
-
36
And We said, “Go, both of you, to the people who have denied Our signs.” Then We destroyed them utterly.
-
37
And the people of Noah, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made them a sign for people. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment.
-
38
And Ad and Thamud and the companions of the Well, and many generations in between.
-
39
To each We set forth examples, and each We destroyed completely.
-
40
They have surely passed by the town on which was rained a rain of evil. Did they not see it? Rather, they did not hope for resurrection.
-
41
Whenever they see you, they make you nothing but an object of ridicule: “Is this the one whom God sent as a messenger?
-
42
He almost led us astray from our gods, had we not held steadfastly to them.” But they will know, when they see the punishment, who is most astray from the path.
-
43
Have you seen the one who takes his own desire as his god? Would you then be a guardian over him?
-
44
Do you suppose most of them listen or reason? They are no more than cattle; indeed, they have strayed even further from the way.
-
45
Have you not seen how your Lord extends the shadow? Had He willed, He could have made it stationary. Then We made the sun its guide.
-
46
Then We draw it in towards Us, little by little.
-
47
He is the One who has made the night a garment for you, sleep a time of repose, and the day a time to rise again.
-
48
It is He who sends the winds as good news ahead of His mercy, and We send down from the sky pure water,
-
49
so that We may give life with it to a dead land, and give it as drink to many of the livestock and people We have created.
-
50
We have distributed it among them so that they may take heed, but most people refuse [anything] except ingratitude.
-
51
If We had so wished, We would have sent a warner to every single town.
-
52
So do not obey the disbelievers, but strive against them with it, a great striving.
-
53
It is He who has let loose the two seas, one sweet and fresh, the other salty and bitter, and placed between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.
-
54
It is He who created a human being from water and made for him relations by blood and by marriage. Your Lord is All-Powerful.
-
55
Yet they worship besides God what can neither benefit them nor harm them. The disbeliever is ever a supporter [of evil] against his Lord.
-
56
We have sent you only as a bearer of good news and a warner.
-
57
Say, “I ask you no payment for it, except that whoever wills may take a path to his Lord.”
-
58
And put your trust in the Ever-Living who never dies, and glorify Him with praise. Sufficient is He as one who is fully aware of the sins of His servants,
-
59
who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six days, then established Himself on the Throne: the Most Gracious. So ask about Him one who is well informed.
-
60
When it is said to them, “Prostrate yourselves to the Most Gracious,” they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Should we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And it increases them in aversion.
-
61
Blessed is He who placed in the sky great constellations and placed in it a lamp and a shining moon.
-
62
It is He who made the night and the day succeed each other, for whoever wishes to take heed or wishes to be grateful.
-
63
The servants of the Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them, they say, “Peace.”
-
64
and who pass the night bowing down and standing up in worship of their Lord,
-
65
and those who say, “Our Lord, turn away from us the punishment of Hell. Its punishment is relentless.
-
66
It is an evil abode and an evil residence.”
-
67
And those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor stingy, but hold a just balance between those [extremes],
-
68
and those who do not call upon another god along with God, and do not kill the soul which God has made sacred except by right, and do not commit fornication. Whoever does that will meet a penalty.
-
69
The punishment will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide in it forever, humiliated,
-
70
except those who repent, believe and do good deeds. For those, God will replace their evil deeds with good ones. God is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
-
71
Whoever repents and does good has truly turned to God in repentance.
-
72
And those who do not bear false witness, and when they pass by idle talk, they pass by with dignity,
-
73
and those who, when reminded of the signs of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind,
-
74
and those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders for the God-fearing.”
-
75
Those will be rewarded with the lofty chamber for their patience, and they will be met there with greeting and peace,
-
76
abiding in it forever. How excellent it is as an abode and a residence!
-
77
Say, “My Lord would not care for you were it not for your supplication. But you have denied, so [the punishment] will be inevitable.”
