この章について
This surah is classified as revealed in the Meccan period. It opens with the Messenger being told that a group of jinn listened to the Quran, found that it guides to what is right, and came to believe. A long passage then quotes the jinn themselves: they affirm that their Lord has taken neither wife nor son, recall that they once sat in the heaven to eavesdrop but now find it guarded by stern guards and shooting flames, and admit that some of them are righteous and some are not, and that none can escape God. The later verses state that places of prostration belong to God alone, and the Messenger is told to say that he has no power to harm or guide anyone and is only charged with delivering the message. It ends by saying that God alone knows the unseen and reveals it only to a messenger He approves.

1
Say, "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed we have heard a wondrous Quran
-
2
it guides to what is right, and so we have come to believe in it, and never will we make anyone a partner of our Lord.
-
3
And [we believe] that exalted is the majesty of our Lord; He has taken neither a wife nor a son.
-
4
And that the foolish among us used to say about God an outrageous falsehood.
-
5
We used to think that neither humans nor jinn would ever tell lies about God.
-
6
And there were men among humans who sought refuge with men among the jinn, but they only increased them in burden.
-
7
And they thought, as you thought, that God would never raise anyone.
-
8
And we sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with stern guards and shooting flames.
-
9
And we used to sit there in positions for listening, but whoever listens now will find a shooting flame lying in wait for him.
-
10
And we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them right guidance.
-
11
And among us are the righteous, and among us are others than that; we are of divided ways.
-
12
And we have become certain that we can never frustrate God on earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
-
13
Once we heard the guidance, we believed in it; and whoever believes in his Lord need not fear being shortchanged or wronged.
-
14
And among us are those who submit [to God], and among us are the unjust. And whoever submits — those have sought out right conduct.
-
15
But as for the unjust, they will be firewood for Hell.'"
-
16
And [it has been revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant water to drink,
-
17
so that We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will drive him into an ever-mounting punishment.
-
18
And that the places of prostration are for God, so do not invoke anyone along with God.
-
19
And that when the servant of God stood up invoking Him, they almost crowded upon him in swarms.
-
20
Say, "It is my Lord alone that I pray to, and I associate no one with Him."
-
21
Say, "Indeed I have no power to cause you harm or right guidance."
-
22
Say, "Indeed no one can protect me from God, nor will I find any refuge besides Him —
-
23
[my duty is] only to deliver [the message] from God and His messages." And whoever disobeys God and His Messenger — indeed for him is the Fire of Hell, abiding therein forever.
-
24
Until, when they see what they are promised, they will know who is weaker in helpers and fewer in number.
-
25
Say, "I do not know whether what you are promised is near or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
-
26
Knower of the unseen, He lets no one look into His unseen,
-
27
except a messenger whom He has approved; then indeed He sends before him and behind him guardians,
-
28
so that He may know that they have delivered the messages of their Lord. And He encompasses whatever is with them and has counted all things in number."
