الرَّحْمَٰنِ르r라흐마니 بِسْمِ비스밀
- 太字 = 単語の強勢がある音節。少し強く。
- 上線 = 長母音（マッド）。2拍ほど伸ばす。朗誦でいちばん大切な長さ。
- 小さい字 = アラビア語に母音がない所。子音だけを短く。
- 小さなラテン文字 = 韓国語にない音。次の音節に付く。f 上の歯で下唇に触れる · θ/ð 舌先を歯の間に · r 舌先を震わせる（ㄹ だけなら l）。

- 太く大きい字(ˈ) = 強く、少し長く。単語でいちばん強い音節。
- 薄い字 = 弱く・短く(あいまい母音)。全部の音節を同じ強さで読まないこと。
- 小さい 으・트・스 = ほとんど発音しない。英語にない母音なので、子音だけで止める。
- 単語全体が薄い(the・of・and・to…) = 文の中では弱く速く。名詞・動詞など内容語を強く。

この章について
Classed as a Meccan sura, it opens with a command to glorify the name of the Lord, the Most High, who created and proportioned, determined and guided, and who brings out green pasture only to turn it into dark stubble. The one addressed is then promised, 'We will make you recite, and you will not forget,' along with being eased toward ease, and is told to remind people when reminding benefits. Two responses follow: whoever fears God takes the reminder, while the most wretched avoids it and burns in the greatest Fire, where he neither dies nor lives. Success belongs to the one who purifies himself, remembers his Lord's name and prays. The sura observes that people prefer the life of this world although the Hereafter is better and more lasting, and closes by saying this message is also found in the scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

名前の由来 It is named after the divine title 'the Most High' (al-A'la) in verse 1: 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High.'

We will make you recite, and you will not forget,

다만 하나님께서 원하시는 것은 예외이다. 진정 그분께서는 드러난 것과 숨겨진 것을 아신다.
except what God wills. Indeed He knows what is declared and what is hidden.

그리고 우리는 너를 쉬운 길로 쉽게 이끌 것이다.
And We will ease you toward ease.

그러니 깨우침이 이롭다면 깨우쳐 주어라.
So remind, if the reminder benefits.

[하나님을] 두려워하는 이는 깨우칠 것이다.
He who fears [God] will be reminded.

11
그러나 가장 비참한 자는 그것을 피할 것이니,
But the most wretched one will avoid it —

12
그는 가장 큰 불 속에서 불탈 자이다.
he who will burn in the greatest Fire,

13
그는 그곳에서 죽지도 살지도 못할 것이다.
in which he will neither die nor live.

14
스스로를 깨끗하게 하는 이는 분명 성공한 것이니,
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself,

15
그는 자기 주님의 이름을 기억하고 예배하는 이이다.
and remembers the name of his Lord and prays.

16
그러나 너희는 이 세상의 삶을 더 좋아한다.
But you prefer the life of this world,

17
내세가 더 좋고 더 오래가는데도.
while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.

18
진정 이것은 앞선 두루마리들에도 있으니,
Indeed this is in the former scriptures,

19
아브라함과 모세의 두루마리들이다.
