📜 Prophets in the Quran
Many prophets and messengers sent by God appear in the Quran. A large number of them carry names familiar to readers of the Bible: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Job, Jonah, Elijah, Elisha, Zechariah, John and Jesus. The Quran also says that there are messengers whose stories it has related and others whose stories it has not.
The message of the prophets, as the Quran presents it, is a single one. No messenger was sent without the revelation that there is no god but God, so worship Him, and believers declare that they make no distinction between any of His messengers. Noah appears as a clear warner to his people, Abraham as one devoutly obedient to God and upright in faith, and Moses as the one to whom God spoke directly. Job and Jonah are remembered as men who called on their Lord in distress and were answered.
Some prophets, such as Hud, Salih and Shuayb, have no clear counterpart by name in the Bible. They too bring their peoples the same words: worship God, you have no god other than Him.

Believing in all the prophets
- 2:136
Believers affirm what came to Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all prophets, distinguishing none.
