关于本章
Classed as a Meccan sura, it begins by telling its listeners that competition for more has distracted them, until they end up visiting the graves. A warning follows and is repeated: 'No! You will come to know. Then, no! You will come to know.' The sura then wishes they knew with the knowledge of certainty, and declares that they will surely see Hellfire, and then see it with certain sight. The final verse adds that on that Day they will surely be asked about the pleasures they enjoyed. In eight verses it moves from a life absorbed in piling up more, through a certainty that arrives too late, to being questioned about everything that was enjoyed.
- Competing for more
- Until the graves
- The knowledge of certainty
- Questioned about pleasures
